A Little Something For Everyone

Youth Council is an excellent way for Garland youth to volunteer and learn more about the local government.

There are many ways that the youth council serves the local community. Not only do they have fun, but they make a difference in our city.

To find out more, stop into the city offices to find out how to become a part of Garland’s Youth Council.

Youth Council

In  2022 the youth council worked hard to help the Elderly residents in our community to help get their yards all cleaned up and ready for Spring. The council cleaned up Garland City park and refinished the tables and benches.
They decorated a float and participated in the Wheat and Beet days parade. During our city celebration, they also planned and carried out the dodgeball tournament, the 9 square tournaments, the kickball tournament, and the pickleball tournament.
They participated in the Northern Box Elder County Suicide prevention coalition annual suicide awareness memory walk. Worked hard on selling tickets for the Bar D Wranglers concert to help raise money for the new steps and ramp at our library. And, filled bags with treats for our Santa visit.
The impact that the youth council has on our city can be seen in these photos. The youth council has fun and makes a big difference. If youth are interested in joining, they can contact the City office.  We have room for everyone.
