Garland city has an excellent recreation program. We currently offer programs for kids and teens. Find out more below.
Garland has one beautiful park that has multiple fields for all kinds of sports. It also has a lovely covered area for family parties and get-togethers.
Did you know you can rent out the park? Bring your trailers and campers and have a family reunion, tournament, or get-together with family and friends. Call the city for more information.

From tournaments to family reunions the park can be a great place to hold events.
Football
The Football leagues are open to Garland City and all surrounding areas. Football is open to kids from 3rd – 8th grade.
Registration is in the city offices. And you will need to bring a birth certificate, proof of residency, a physical provided by a doctor, proof of medical insurance, and proof of grade.
The cost includes the rental of equipment, including helmets.
Softball and Baseball
Garland City has T-ball, Machine Pitch, Softball, and Baseball. Ages range from 4-14. To see the schedules for 2022, click the links below:

Soccer
Garland City has both spring and fall soccer leagues. The ages range from 4-14. For soccer, you can register online.
Games will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting after 5 pm the week of April 10th.

Wrestling
Garland City offers spring Wrestling. Wrestling is a great way to teach kids flexibility, strategy, and strength.
Registration has been extended through close of business Friday, September 29. Please come in to the city office to register between 9:00 am – 4:45 pm, closed from 12-1 for lunch.
Practices will be Tuesday or Thursday from 6-7:30 pm, depending on what day your team is scheduled. Tournaments on Saturdays through mid-November.
